TOM MONKEN, Football, New Lenox (Joliet Central HS), Business and Insurance - Three-year letterman... Chosen as the 1992 team's "Most Valuable Player"... Winner of the "Don Larson Most Outstanding Offensive Player" award in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin and was a first team all- CCIW choice... Set single-season passing records for yardage and touchdowns, as well as total offense in 1992... Finished his career in fourth place at IWU in both passing yardage and total offense... His 359 yards passing against Millikin was the third highest single-game total in IWU history and earned him one of his two CCIW "Offensive Player of the Week" awards... Earned special mention on the 1992 All-America team selected by Don Hansen's Football Gazette... Two-time all-conference performer as a javelin thrower in track at IWU... Son of Mike and Nancy Monken, New Lenox.
