JASON JONES, Basketball and Baseball, Lincoln (HS), Business - Four-year letterman as a 6-foot-2 guard... Served as co-captain of the 1990-91 team... As a senior, Jones appeared in all 27 of IWU's games and in his career, Jason appeared in 110 games, just five short of the all-time IWU record of 115, set by Bob Spear (1973-77)... Season single-game highs in 1990-91 were 13 points at North Central, 10 rebounds in the season finale vs. Millikin, and four assists vs. Wheaton, North Central, and DePauw... For the season, Jones averaged 3.9 points and 1.7 rebounds per game and shot 42.1 percent from the field (32of 76) and 73.8 percent from the free throw line (31 of 42)... Three-year letterman in baseball... Finished with a .337 average with four doubles, two triples, and three home runs, including a grand slam against Bradley in 1990... An outfielder, he added 20 runs batted in and was six-for-eight in stolen base attempts... Earned honorable mention on the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin South Division all-star squad... Batted in .333 in 1989 before being sidelined with a broken hand...
