Directions to Beadles/Morse Tennis Courts
The Beadles/Morse Tennis Courts offer over eight different courts for Illinois Wesleyan University students, faculty, and staff to play for leisure, intramural, or competition play, and serve as the home courts for the men's and women's tennis teams. Conveniently located adjacent to the Shirk Center, one can find the courts being utilized often when the weather is nice. Lighting for the courts also allows for practice or play after the sun has set.
The original four courts were dedicated in September 1987 to honor the memories of the parents of Elmer '36 and Marjorie Beadles '34, whose gift also made those courts possible. A plaque bearing the names of Dr. Robert O. and Myrtella DuBois Beadles and Charles and Margaret Houchin Morse is in place at the site. Three additional courts were dedicated in September 1999.
