Played in 31 games in 1990, Wilkening finished with a .337 batting average with six doubles and a team-high five home runs, his 28 runs batted in was second on the team, but his .573 slugging percentage was the team high... Appeared in eight games and complied a 3-2 record with an earned run average of 4.50, he had three complete games and pitched 46 innings... Selected to the first team of the GTE/CoSIDA Academic All-America team in 1990...
