First team selection to the all-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin squad as a linebacker for two straight years... Named CCIW "Defensive Player of the Week" for his performance against Wheaton in 1990 and, for the same game, was tabbed as "National Defensive Player of the Week" by Don Hansen's Football Gazette... Co-captain of the 1990 squad, Marcordes led the tea, with 32 solo tackles, 40 assists, amd four intercepted passes for 21 yards... Active in the Red Cross and in College Republicans while at IWU...
