Prior to the 2010 season, Engel is the school’s all-time leader in strikeouts (429), shutouts (14) and earned run average (1.32) and is second in wins (48), trailing only Kelly Murray (55-18 from 2001-04).
2010: Named to NCAA Division III regional all-tournament team...Chosen as the “Pitcher of the Year” in the CCIW for the third straight season...First team all-conference...Was College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin "Pitcher of the Week" on 4/27 as she was winning pitcher in both ends of a 4/24 doubleheader sweep of North Park. In 2-0 second game victory she became the school's career wins leader.
2009: Chosen as the “Pitcher of the Year” in the CCIW for the second straight season...First team all-conference...Chosen to NCAA first-round all-tournament team...Third team academic all-District V...Engel set school season records in 2009 for wins (22-5), innings pitched (180 2/3), strikeouts (198), lowest earned run average (0.93) and lowest opponent batting average (.150).
2008: Named to the first team of the all-Great Lakes region…Chosen as the “Pitcher of the Year” in the CCIW becoming the second straight Titan to win the award (Lauren Hyland in 2007)…Compiled a 7-1 record in CCIW play and led the league in strikeouts (58), innings pitched (60.2) and was third with a 1.73 earned run average…Finished the season with an 18-6 record, second most wins in an individual season, throwing 167.1 innings, good for most in an IWU season…Had a 1.34 ERA, sixth best in a Titans’ uniform and struck out 152, falling two short of Jennie Siron’s record of 154…Chosen to NCAA regional all-tournament team…
2007: Co-winner of team’s “Rookie of the Year” honor as she had an 8-7 record with a 2.72 earned run average and struck out 79 in 86 innings…
HIGH SCHOOL: Two-year team MVP and two years chosen as first team unanimous all-conference as a junior and senior…
PERSONAL: Majoring in secondary education and mathematics…She is the daughter of Darryl and Debbie Engel.
