KRISTIN STANKUS, Basketball and Softball, LaGrange Park (Immaculate Heart of Mary HS), Mathematics and Rick Management - Earned four basketball letters and three softball letters... Was named 1997 team's "Best Defensive Player" in basketball and finished her career as the Titans' 13th all-time leading scorer (786 points)... Stankus was named to the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin all-academic team to the second team of the District V all-academic team... Averaged 9.5 points and 3.8 rebounds in 1997... Served as a 1996-97 team co-captain... Was named to second team od Division III all-Midwest Region squad chosen by National Softball Coached Association and was named to 1996 all-CCIW softball team... Among IWU career leaders after three seasons, Stankus is 10th in games played (120), 13th in hits (82), ninth in runs scored (70)... Has career record of 6-0 as a pitcher... Winner, "Outstanding Senior Award" and one of 25 "Distinguished Senior" in business and economics division... She is the daughter of Richard and Patt Stankus.
