BRYAN CRABTREE, Basketball, Wheaton (North HS), Business - Earned four basketball letters and was elected "Most Valuable Player" for the 1996-97 team... Crabtree was named Division III "Player of the Year" by the National Association od Basketball Coached, Columbus Multimedia, and was "Player of the Year: and first team All-American in Basketball Times magazine... The lone returning starter from a team that was third in the national tournament in 1996, he finished as the school's third leading scorer with 1,871 points... The winner of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin "Fred Young Most Outstanding Player" honor, Crabtree was also named MVP of the championship tournament... His 678 points is the third best in a single season at IWU and he holds single game, season, and career records for free throws made... He finished his career second in 3-point field goals (179) , fifth in free throws percentage (79.7), seventh in field goals (587), 11th in rebounds (585), and 12th in assists (220)... Also named to the first team of the all-CCIW squad after being on the third team for two straight seasons... A starter since the third game of his freshman year... He is the son of James and Susan Crabtree.
