CHRIS MORTON, Men's Swimming & Diving, Springfield (HS), Biology and Pre-Med - Four-year letterman... Selected as the team's "Most Valuable Swimmer" three seasons... As a senior he finished first in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin meet in the 200 freestyle and 100 backstroke and finished second in the 200 backstroke... Member of CCIW championship relay teams in the 200- and 400-freestyle relays... Held five school swimming records, including two set as a senior... Two-time national qualifier, placed among the top 45 in the nation at the 1992 Division III meet in three events... As a junior and senior, Morton was chosen to the CCIW all-academic team for Winter sport athletes and has been honored for his academic record by the College Swimming Coached of America... Member of Beta Beta Beta, a national biology honorary... Son of Mr. and Mrs. Neil A. Morton, Springfield.
