Named to the first team of the CCIW all-star squad as junior and senior after being second team as a sophomore... Gagliardi Trophy finalist as a junior and senior... As a senior he had 655 receiving yards, the 13th best best single-season effort at IWU, and finished his career with 12 touchdown receptions (10th all-time at IWU) and 1,564 receiving yards (seventh in school history)... First team GTE Academic All-American in 1995 and was elected to District V all-academic team in 1994 and 1995... Played on CCIW championship teams in 1992 and 1994... Member, IWU Math Society and served as officer for Phi Gamma Delta fraternity... He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rex Richards, Lakeland, Florida.
