Senior Ryan Kaplan (Riverwoods, Ill., Deerfield HS) has earned two letters in Illinois Wesleyan men's soccer and has played in 31 games in the last two seasons.
Majoring in economics and minoring in computer science at Illinois Wesleyan, he is the son of Bruce Kaplan and Wendi Marcus.


Why you chose to attend Illinois Wesleyan: I wanted to make Wesleyan great again.

The hardest challenge about being a Division III student-athlete is: Getting interrupted at Noodles & Company to sign autographs.
 
Worst grade in a class you ever got – what and when? B in Computer Science 1
 
I’m deathly afraid of ... :  Julian, the dog that lives in my house.
 
Worst habit: Saying “here’s my thing” before I express my opinion. Tom Zale stole a million dollar idea from me.

My greatest moment in sports was: Beating Griffin Sullivan two years in a row in the NBA 2K championship.

Worst dresser on my team: Conor Geraghty ... Jorts are not a thing.
 
Thing that’s been in my fridge the longest: Pedialyte, only the Walgreens brand

Two things that are tops on my “bucket list”:  Skydiving and going to Barcelona
 
My possession that would fetch the most on eBay: The trimmings of my neck beard
 
Who is the luckiest person in the world? Kevin Connelly, I have never seen a mouth-breather become such a success story.
 
What I miss most about being in the third grade: Not having my neck beard
