Senior co-captain Tom Marlow (Springfield, Mo., Parkview HS) is a three-year soccer letterman at Illinois Wesleyan and a starter since his sophomore season.
A chemistry major at IWU, he is the son of Martin and Beth Marlow of Springfield, Mo.

Why you chose Illinois Wesleyan: I wanted a good school where I could learn a lot about a lot of different things, all while playing soccer.

IWU class you’re most qualified to teach: Environment and Society

Worst grade in a class you ever got – what and when? Second semester General Biology sophomore year. I’m not even going to say what grade I got. Once the thought “why am I doing this?” crept into my head I was finished.

I’m deathly afraid of ... : Spiders

Worst habit: I don’t answer emails in a timely matter.

Most expensive traffic ticket: 75 dollar speeding ticket

Language I’d like to learn: French.

Your usual response to “What’s going on?”: "Not much. How are you doing?"

Favorite sports figures: Michael Jordan, Eric Cantona, Zinedine Zidane

My greatest moment in sports was: Scoring the winning goal against University of Chicago this season has got to be up there.

The best player I ever faced was: Jack Jewsbury. He is from my hometown and plays professionally for the Kansas City Wizards.

Worst dressers on my team: Danny Kenny and Tim Griffin. They live together, so I am thinking they probably dress each other as well.

Thing that’s been in my fridge the longest: My grandma’s tiramisu from awhile ago…

Person I’m dying to have dinner with: Tupac or Biggie… or Tupac and Biggie.

Favorite food: My grandma’s biscuits and gravy

Vegetable I won’t eat: Steamed carrots

Pepsi or Coke?: Coke

Favorite TV show: "Arrested Development"

Favorite musical group: Mastodon

Favorite movie: "28 Days Later"

If a movie were made of my life, I would like the following person to play me: Jon Hamm

The person in history I would most like to meet is: Franklin D. Roosevelt

My dream job would be: I would like to be the owner of my own environmentally friendly company.

Place I’d most like to live: Colorado

My possession that would fetch the most on eBay: My cello

What I miss most about being in the third grade: Worms in dirt. That stuff is delicious.
