Senior Darien West (Chicago, DeLaSalle Institute) finished sixth in both the 2011 and 2009 NCAA Division III indoor track championships in the hammer throw, making him a two-time All-American. He holds the IWU school record in the hammer throw at 19.36 meters, set at the North Central Qualifier on March 4, 2011.
A business major at Illinois Wesleyan, he is the son of Euamarie Novey and Standly West.
