Senior Hope Schulte (Hillsboro, Ill., HS) has played on teams that have an overall record of 104-10 and a 58-3 record in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (through Feb. 21, 2011). She ranks No. 12 all-time with 224 assists and No. 17 with 951 points. She had her career-high of 22 points in an NCAA Division III tournament game against Simpson on March 6, 2010.
A biology major at Illinois Wesleyan, Hope is the daughter of Mike and Kim Schulte.

Why you chose Illinois Wesleyan:
Although this is most people’s answer to this question, it had the perfect balance between athletics and academics. And it was getting close to the end of April so I had to pick somewhere. Turns out I made the right choice.

IWU class you’re most qualified to teach: I would assume some type of P.E. class. Even though I’m a senior biology major, there is absolutely no way I should be in charge of any class in that field.

Worst grade in a class you ever got – what and when? B- in Physics first semester junior year. Let’s just say I am not a fan of “zeeeeeRO” – guess you had to be there.

I’m deathly afraid of ... : snakes

Worst habit: Procrastination. I have mastered it over the past four years.

Most expensive traffic ticket: I have never been pulled over (knock on wood) so I guess a $20 parking ticket

Language I’d like to learn: German

Your usual response to “What’s going on?”: Not too much.

Favorite sports figure: Peyton Manning

My greatest moment in sports was: Winning a state championship in high school and the three CCIW championships here at Illinois Wesleyan.

The best player I ever faced was: Brittany Johnson

Worst dresser on my team: Stacey Arlis. I think she’s color blind.

Thing that’s been in my fridge the longest: We have found some questionable things in our fridge here at school, but the purple green beans we found last year takes the cake.

Person I’m dying to have dinner with: Ryan Reynolds

Favorite food: I love all food, but if I had to pick one thing to eat forever it would be lobster.

Vegetable I won’t eat: I’ll eat ‘em all

Pepsi or Coke?: Coke. From the fountain preferably.

Favorite TV show: “Saved By the Bell” and “Grey’s Anatomy”

Favorite musical group: Anything country

Favorite movie: “The Notebook”

If a movie were made of my life, I would like the following person to play me: After seeing “No Strings Attached”, I’d have to say Natalie Portman

The person in history I would most like to meet is: Honest Abe

My dream job would be: Being Carrie Bradshaw.

Place I’d most like to live: Ireland

My possession that would fetch the most on eBay: I don’t own anything valuable. I would say my car, but my dad would say I don’t own that either.

What I miss most about being in the third grade: Being carefree
