Mackenzie Clemens, a 2010 May graduate, was an All-American on the NCAA Division III 2008 indoor and outdoor and 2010 outdoor national championship teams. Amond her many accomplishments, she finished first in the 800 meter run in three straight College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin indoor meets and was on the school's first two CCIW outdoor team champions. A biology major at IWU, she is the daughter of Kathy and Doug Clemens, the older sister of track teammate Tara Clemens, and the granddaughter of Don Clemens, who was captain of the 1951 undefeated Titan football team.

Why you chose Illinois Wesleyan: It was a toss-up between IWU and the University of Illinois, and after making my pro/con list for both, IWU came out on top. The decision was confirmed with a game of rock, paper, scissors.

IWU class you’re most qualified to teach: Probably Jogging

Worst grade in a class you ever got – what and when? Let’s just say taking Organic Chem your senior year after you’ve already cashed out isn’t the best idea.

I’m deathly afraid of ... : I got in trouble the last time I answered this question honestly.

Worst habit: Suckering my mom into doing my laundry

Most expensive traffic ticket: Nothing more than a couple parking tickets so far

Language I’d like to learn: Spanish

Your usual response to “What’s going on?”: Not much, you?

Favorite sports figure: Rachel “Rocket Butt” Anderson (Lyons)

My greatest moment in sports was: Too many great memories from IWU track, but the top two are winning indoor nationals my sophomore year and qualifying the DMR for nationals at the conference championships last year

The best player I ever faced was: Ashley Graybill from St. Norbert…she won the indoor and outdoor 800 at nationals last year (2009).

Worst dresser on my team: Tara Clemens with her baby tank top

Thing that’s been in my fridge the longest: Nothing stays in my fridge for too long

Favorite food: Cheese…can’t get enough of it

Vegetable I won’t eat: Cauliflower

Pepsi or Coke?: Dr. Pepper all the way

Favorite TV shows: "Lost," "The Office,"  "It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia"

Favorite musical group: I’m terrible at choosing favorites, but I’m a country music fan

If a movie were made of my life, I would like the following person to play me: Kate Hudson

The person in history I would most like to meet is: Aldo Leopold (American ecologist, forester, and environmentalist)

My dream job would be: Profressional minesweeper

Place I’d most like to live: At the McCoy household in Texas where I would have all the cookies, cake, chips and queso I could ever want.

My possession that would fetch the most on eBay: My little sister

What I miss most about being in the third grade: The holiday-themed obstacle courses in PE
