Allison Ward (Bloomington, Ill., Normal Community High School) was the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin "Player of the Year" in 2008 and was an all-region selection in 2008 and 2009. Coming into the 2010 season she was No. 9 at IWU in career runs batted in, No. 2 with 17 home runs, and No. 3 with a .555 sluggine percentage. A business (marketing) major at Illinois Wesleyan, Allison is the daughter of Steve and Peggy Ward.

Illinois Wesleyan class you’re most qualified to teach: Fred Hoyt’s class, because I have taught it.

Worst grade in a class you ever got – what and when? I once received a C+ in art class in grade school…apparently I’m not exactly gifted with creativity

I’m deathly afraid of ... : Spiders or just insects in general…I still call my dad to come kill them for me when I’m at home

Worst habit: responding to everything with “that’s what she said”

Most expensive traffic ticket: I’ve only gotten one (knock on wood), but it was a $110 speeding ticket in Missouri

Language I’d like to learn: Italian because I’m determined to visit eventually

Favorite sports figure(s): The "Amazing Mr. Wesleyan" himself, Kraig Ladd

My greatest moment in sports was: Getting a base hit off of Cat Osterman

The best player I ever faced was: Cat Osterman and the US Olympic Team…they’re unbelievable

Worst dresser on my team: Christy Engel, only because of her calculus club t-shirts

Thing that’s been in my fridge the longest: I’m not positive…our fridge is kind of a disaster so I’m sure there are some really old left-overs somewhere in the back of it

Person I’m dying to have dinner with: My Grandpa Lehmann who I never got to meet

Favorite food: Giordano’s Pizza

Vegetable I won’t eat: There are a lot

Pepsi or Coke?: Diet Coke, but regular Pepsi – weird, I know

Favorite TV show: "Law and Order: SVU"

Favorite musical group: Garth Brooks

Favorite movie: it’s a tie between "Pretty Woman" and "Dirty Dancing" .. I’m a sucker for chick flicks and romantic comedies

If a movie were made of my life, I would like the following person to play me: Chelsea Handler? I love her books!

The person in history I would most like to meet is:
Eleanor Roosevelt

Place I’d most like to live: Downtown Chicago or a beach house in California

My possession that would fetch the most on eBay: My purse collection…but because they’re Coach, not because they’re mine

What I miss most about being in the third grade: Everything….life was so simple and homework was so easy.
