Illinois Wesleyan senior swimmer Marcus Duval holds the school individual records in both the 200 individual medley and the 400 IM. He was the team's "Most Valuable Player" in 2012-13 and swam in 200 fly (29th), 400 individual medley (18th) and 200 IM (school record, 33rd place) at the 2013 NCAA Division III national meet. He placed first in 400 IM (conference record) and first in 200 IM at 2013 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin meet.
He was all-CCIW in 2012 in the 200 IM, 400 IM, and 200 butterfly, finished 19th in the 400 IM and 26th in the 200 breaststroke at the NCAA Division III championships.
Duval was named the 2011 CCIW conference meet "Swimmer of the Meet" as he was all-conference in the 200 and 400 IM and 200 butterfly.
A biology major at Illinois Wesleyan, he is the son of Dennis J. Duval and Brigitte Duval. In August 2013 he set a record for the swimming portion of the Ironman Louisville (Ky.) competition with a time of 44 minutes, 7 seconds in the 2.4 swimming distance. He finished 37th in his 18-24 age group and 885th overall in a field of more than 2,300 entrants.

Worst grade in a class you ever got – what and when? General Chemistry I got a C, I have got a few Cs but thats the class I remember being horrible and I was surprised I even passed.

I’m deathly afraid of ... : Salads. they are pretty disgusting

Worst habit: Wearing mismatched socks

Most expensive traffic ticket: ~$400, I got something equivalent to reckless driving on my jetski in high school.

Language I’d like to learn: German

The longest I could survive without my cell phone: I think I could do without it, but it is nice to have.

One word your mother or father would use to describe you: “Good-hearted” but also “absent-minded”.

Favorite sports figures: Ryan Lochte, Peyton Manning

My greatest moment in sports was: It's a tie: Finishing an Ironman and breaking 4 minutes in the 400IM

The best player I ever faced was: Kyle Drake, For my first two years here we raced the 400IM and 200IM against each other, it was always close we actually tied both breaking the old conference record the second year.

Worst dresser on my team: Ross Tollefson, He has shirts that are older than he is.

Thing that’s been in my fridge the longest: Better check on that

Person I’m dying to have dinner with: Obama

Favorite food: Pizza

Vegetable I won’t eat: Carrots

Pepsi or Coke? I don’t like either, but Coke

Favorite TV show: "Scrubs"

Favorite musical group: Andrew Younger ... he is a one man musical group

Favorite movie: "I Am Legend"

If a movie were made of my life, I would like the following person to play me: Will Smith

If my life were on TV as a reality show, I’d call it: "It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time"

The person in history I would most like to meet is: Nelson Mandela

My dream job would be: "Top Gear" TV show host

Place I’d most like to live: Salt cay in the Turks and Caicos.

Two things that are tops on my “bucket list”: Visit all continents and scuba diving on the barrier reef.

My possession that would fetch the most on eBay: My bike
