Illinois Wesleyan senior Kinzie Schweigert has played four years of volleyball for the Titans and ranks (as of Oct. 28, 2014) No. 21 in career kills (809), No. 14 in sets played (422) and No. 25 in matches played (121). Her single-match highs are 18 kills (vs Colby-Sawyer, Sept. 1, 2012) and 23 digs (U. of Dallas, Oct. 26, 2012)
She was chosen as the 2013 team's recipient of the "Titan Strength and Conditioning" award.
Majoring in English (writing) at Illinois Wesleyan, she was the sports editor of The Argus, IWU school newspaper, and spent six weeks in Europe last summer. She is the daughter of Keith and Laura Schweigert and her brother (Brad) was a baseball player at Eastern Illinois.

Why you chose Illinois Wesleyan: I loved the volleyball team and the educational opportunities.

The hardest challenge about being a Division III student-athlete is: Balancing school, professional pursuits and athletics

Worst grade in a class you ever got – what and when? I got a B- in accounting... Balance Sheets are not my fave.

I’m deathly afraid of ... : Sharks, crabs, lobsters basically all the ocean creatures... oddly though I love the beach and seafood.

Worst habit: Watching television while doing homework. It takes me 10 times longer to do, but hey I do get caught up on "Pretty Little Liars".

Most expensive traffic ticket: I don’t get caught *cough, cough*... I mean speed!

Languages I’d like to learn: Greek and Italian

The longest I could survive without my cell phone: I’ve gone six weeks practically phone-less in Europe so I’m not too dependent on my phone.

One word your mother or father would use to describe you: Messy

Favorite sports figure: Gabrielle Reece

My greatest moment in sports was: My favorite game was definitely defeating Carthage at home in my sophomore year. All my friends and family were there and I had a great game, so it was an ideal situation.

The best player I ever faced was: A girl (I don’t know her name) who was 6’8’’ that I played during a club tournament in high school. I stuff-blocked her once though!

Thing that’s been in my fridge the longest: Iced Coffee...I should probably throw that out.

Person I’m dying to have dinner with: Erin Andrews! I want to know her career path and ask a ton of questions.

Favorite food: Margherita Pizza (the kind with REALLY thin crust)

Vegetable I won’t eat: Uncooked onions

Pepsi or Coke? Pepsi

Favorite musical group: Zac Brown Band

Favorite movie: "Gladiator"

If a movie were made of my life, I would like the following person to play me: Blake Lively!

The person in history I would most like to meet is: Helen of Troy

My dream job would be: Author

Place I’d most like to live: A Greek Island

What are tops my “bucket list”:  Backpack through Europe

What I miss most about being in the third grade: The free time after school... does that count?
