Senior Josie Linman (Bourbonnais, Ill., Bradley-Bourbonnais HS) has earned three letters in women's tennis and has served as the team's co-captain for two seasons earned three letters. She is part of an Illinois Wesleyan family - her sister, Emily, graduated from IWU and Josie's twin sister, Amy, is a current student at IWU.
Josie is majoring in interdisciplinary education at Illinois Wesleyan.

Why you chose Illinois Wesleyan: It’s the only place I applied.

IWU class you’re most qualified to teach: Social Work in Action

The hardest challenge about being a Division III student-athlete is: I don’t get paid and I like money so that’s tough.

Worst grade in a class you ever got – what and when? I don’t remember the class name, which may have something to do with my poor grade.

I’m deathly afraid of…: I have no fears.

Worst habit: Talking too much

Most expensive traffic ticket: One time I went 40 MPH through a stop sign and got a ticket AND a warning. (Could have been two tickets, but I cried…)

Language I’d like to learn: Swedish or Nepali

The longest I could survive without my cell phone: Forever. I’m not very good at using it. Ask my mom.

One word your mother or father would use to describe you: "Rebel"

Favorite sports figure:  Svenja Schroeder

My greatest moment in sports was: I’ve had some really great shots, some on accident and others on purpose where I felt pretty professional. In high school I wasn’t expected to make it to state for tennis and then I went out and won the sectional!

The best player I ever faced was: Myself in the mirror

Worst dresser on my team: Spontak because she cut her uniform shirt up and lost her skirt.

Thing that’s been in my fridge the longest: I’m not really sure what it initially was, but right now it’s some sort of stanky mush

Person I’m dying to have dinner with: Kristen Wiig

Favorite food: McNuggets with honey

Vegetable I won’t eat: Eggplant. lol

Pepsi or Coke? Coke

Favorite TV show: “Saturday Night Live”

Favorite musical group: Kate Nash

Favorite movie: “Matilda”

If a movie were made of my life, I would like the following person to play me: Jennifer Lawrence

If my life were on TV as a reality show, I’d call it: “Julie’s Wish”

The person in history I would most like to meet is: Alice Paul or Eleanor Roosevelt

My dream job would be: SNL cast member

Place I’d most like to live: Melbourne, Australia

Two things that are tops on my “bucket list”: 1) Getting a Persian black cat with a white belly and naming him Shamu; 2) Making a difference in the social work industry

My possession that would fetch the most on eBay: My three-foot blow-up tranny doll named Pat

Who is the luckiest person in the world? Who won the most in the lottery?

What I miss most about being in the third grade: Bring a pet to class day. (My family went out and bought a cat for that day and HE IS STILL WITH US)
