Through games of Nov. 18, senior captain Jordan Zimmer ranks No. 7 all-time at IWU with 162 3-point field goals made and is also No. 7 with a 3-point field goal percentage of .450 (162-of-360).
A business major at Illinois Wesleyan, Jordan is the son of Doug and Beth Zimmer and comes with true IWU roots - his father, uncle (Ron) and grandfather (Duane Sampen) all were athletes at Illinois Wesleyan and his younger brother, Brady, is also a member of the Titan basketball team. Doug was once IWU record holder in 400 and was track MVP for three years in the 1980s.

Why you chose Illinois Wesleyan: I wanted to be close to home.  Also, I really felt like I fit in with the team here.

IWU class you’re most qualified to teach: Does IWU offer Farming 101?

The hardest challenge about being a Division III student-athlete is:  Definitely time management.

Worst grade in a class you ever got – what and when?  I’m not sure.  I think I may have failed an art test before…

I’m deathly afraid of ... :  Buddy Sodemann

Worst habit: Popping my sternum.  Is that healthy?

Most expensive traffic ticket: $140 speeding ticket…not bad

Language I’d like to learn: Spanish

The longest I could survive without my cell phone:  Probably a few days

Your usual response to “What’s going on?”:  “Not much.  You?”  Yeah…I guess I’m kinda boring

Favorite sports figure: Larry Bird

My greatest moment in sports was: NCAA tournament run two years ago

Worst dresser on my team: Andrew Ziemnik

Thing that’s been in my fridge the longest: Tostitos Salsa.  Since I know that, I should probably throw it out.

Person I’m dying to have dinner with: Stephen Rudnicki

Favorite food: Currently, I’d have to go with the baja sub from the Dugout

Vegetable I won’t eat: Squash

Pepsi or Coke?:  Definitely Coke

Favorite TV show: “Seinfeld” or “That 70’s Show”

Favorite musical group: I’m going to say Taylor Swift just to upset some people

Favorite movie: “The Italian Job”

If a movie were made of my life, I would like the following person to play me: Sean Seibring.  If he’s busy, I’ll take Matt Damon.

The person in history I would most like to meet is: The real Hoosiers

My dream job would be: Go back home and farm.

Place I’d most like to live: I would like a house on the beach

Two things that are tops on my “bucket list”: 1) Jump out of a plane. 2) Land safely on the ground.

My possession that would fetch the most on eBay: I really don’t have anything of value.  Maybe my car.  If you’ve seen it you know that it’s not much.

What I miss most about being in the third grade: Recess…duh.
