Illinois Wesleyan senior Maggie Krause (Evanston, Ill., Evanston Township HS) is the school's all-time leader in points, goals, shots, draw controls, and games played.
In her career she has been named the "Offensive Player of the Week" in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin on two occasions and was chosen to the second team of the 2016 all-CCIW squads. Also as a junior she was also named the Titans' "Most Valuable Offensive Player".
The daughter of Nancy Anderson and Robert Krause, Maggie is majoring in history with a minor in English at Illinois Wesleyan.


Why you chose to attend Illinois Wesleyan: I loved the beautiful campus, the trees, and I also knew that IWU would be starting a lacrosse program and I wanted to continue playing in college!
 
IWU class you’re most qualified to teach: Probably an English class of some sort
 
The hardest challenge about being a Division III student-athlete is: Balancing classes, sports, and a social life while staying healthy and actually getting sleep. 
 
Worst grade in a class you ever got – what and when? D in Chem 201 my freshman year. 
 
I’m deathly afraid of ... : Car accidents 
 
Worst habit: Biting my nails
 
Most expensive traffic ticket: I've never gotten one 
 
Language I’d like to learn: Italian 
 
The longest I could survive without my cell phone: A few days probably
 
One word your mother or father would use to describe you: "Responsible"

Favorite sports figure: Michael Phelps
 
My greatest moment in sports was: Scoring the first goal in IWU women's lacrosse history 
 
The best player I ever faced was: Olivia Mayer (Augustana)
 
Thing that’s been in my fridge the longest: Pickle juice
 
Person I’m dying to have dinner with: Sophia Bush
 
Favorite food: Strawberry sprinkle donuts from Dunkin'
 
Vegetable I won’t eat: Green and red peppers

Two things that are tops on my “bucket list”: NCAA tournament appearance and Santorini, Greece
