Illinois Wesleyan senior third baseman Katie Caulfield (Chicago, Ill., Marist HS) has a .274 lifetime batting average and ranks No. 5 in IWU history with 27 sacrifice hits and No. 7 with 149 games started.
This spring, she was chosen as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin "Offensive Player of the Week" on April 25 for her play against Carthage, Carroll, and Wis.-Whitewater. She tied a school single-game record with five hits in game one of the doubleheader at Carthage on April 22.
As a freshman she was chosen as the team's "Most Improved Player".
A psychology major at Illinois Wesleyan, she is the daughter of Tom and Joyce Caulfield.
