Illinois Wesleyan senior James Maibuecher (Chicago, Notre Dame College Prep) was selected as the "Offensive Player of the Year" in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin in 2016 as a sophomore, when he was also a first team all-conference selection.
James was named as team's "Offensive Most Valuable Player" in 2016 and has been the CCIW "Offensive Player of the Week" four times in his career.
Majoring in business (financial services) at Illinois Wesleyan, he is the son of Donna and Robert Maibuecher.

My greatest moment in sports was: Beating Carthage in CCIW championship last year.  
 
The best player I ever faced was: Playing ping-pong against Robert Spenard

Worst dresser on my team: Dave Olson

Thing that’s been in my fridge the longest: My last Spanish test...I got a B

Persons I’m dying to have dinner with: Fred Hoyt and Joe Solberg
 
Favorite food: Burger
 
Vegetable I won’t eat: Mushrooms

Pepsi or Coke? My body is a temple. I never drink pop.

Favorite TV show: “The Office”

Favorite musical group: DMB

Favorite movies: Top 5 in no particular order…”Dark Night”, “Warrior”, “Goodfellas”, “Shawshank Redemption”, “The Departed” 

If a movie were made of my life, I would like the following person to play me: George Clooney … people say we look alike.  
 
If my life were on TV as a reality show, I’d call it: “Little Head, Big World”

The person in history I would most like to meet is: Ned Stark

My dream job would be: Golf caddie at The Masters

Place I’d most like to live: Florida Keys

If you come back in another life, what would you like to return as: Tommy Lyons’ calves….always been jealous of them.

Two things that are tops on my “bucket list”: 1) Go to Europe; 2) Buy a Boat
