As a senior at Illinois Wesleyan, tight end Quincy Butler (Flossmoor, Ill., Homewood-Flossmoor HS) has made 11 catches for 120 yards and has made four touchdown receptions.
As a junior, he had 14 receptions for 183 yards and one touchdown and as a sophomore he had 16 catches for 168 yards with one TD.
Majoring in business (marketing) at Illinois Wesleyan, he is the son of Taneesha Thomas.


Why you chose to attend Illinois Wesleyan: I chose IWU because it had the perfect combination of things I wanted in college. I knew I was getting a great education, I was able to continue playing football, and Bloomington-Normal gives you the big college feel even though Wesleyan is a small school.
 
IWU class you’re most qualified to teach: Beginners Golf
 
The hardest challenge about being a Division III student-athlete is: Not getting a bunch of free gear.
 
Worst grade in a class you ever got – what and when? I got a C- my freshman year of high school in biology.
 
I’m deathly afraid of ... : Big Insects
 
Worst habit: I stay up to late
 
Most expensive traffic ticket: $20 ticket for parking in the faculty lot here at IWU.
 
Language I’d like to learn: Mandarin
 
The longest I could survive without my cell phone: Five minutes

One word your mother or father would use to describe you: Wavy
 
Favorite sports figures: Lebron James, Steph Curry, Paul Pogba, Neymar.
 
My greatest moment in sports was: Scoring 16 points in last years Intramural Basketball Championship game, securing my second title since I’ve been here.
 
The best player I ever faced was: Antonio Morrison in high school
 
Worst dresser on my team: Austin Harrell
 
Thing that’s been in my fridge the longest: Probably some hot dogs.
 
Person I’m dying to have dinner with: Rihanna
 
Favorite food: My mom’s lasagna
 
Vegetable I won’t eat: Radish

Favorite TV show: "Game of Thrones." Best show of all time - no debate.
 
Favorite musical group: The Social Experiment
 
Favorite movies: Three-way tie between "Interstellar", "Dark Knight" and "Deadpool"

Two things that are tops on my “bucket list”: 1) Skydive and 2) suit up one game for the basketball team at Wesleyan.
