Illinois Wesleyan senior running back Austin Harrell (Washington, Ill., HS) is a co-captain for the 2016 Titan football squad. Coming into the 2016 season, he has rushed for 688 yards on 92 carries (7.5 per carry).
In 2014, Harrell was chosen as the team's "Most Improved Player". Against North Park on Nov. 15, 2014, he rushed 26 times for 220 yards, the eighth best in an IWU single game, and had a 79-yard reception, the 16th longest in IWU history.
A business administration major at Illinois Wesleyan, Austin's grandfathers on both parents' sides were selected in Major League Baseball drafts.

Why you chose to attend Illinois Wesleyan: The academic opportunity was too great to pass up.

IWU class you’re most qualified to teach: I don’t know if teaching is really my thing.

The hardest challenge about being a Division III student-athlete is: I prefer the term D2-AA, but probably all the fame and publicity that comes with the gig and trying to make time to complete your studies.

Worst grade in a class you ever got – what and when? I received a D in bio freshman year. I am no longer thinking about majoring in bio.

I’m deathly afraid of ... :  Birds. Those things are wildcards.

Worst habit: Napping

Most expensive traffic ticket: Whatever the minimum speeding ticket is, $120 maybe?

Language I’d like to learn: Spanish…

The longest I could survive without my cell phone: 127 Hours.

One word your mother or father would use to describe you: Ornery

Favorite sports figure: Pablo Sanchez – He dominated the backyard sporting world.

My greatest moment in sports was: Being named captain of the 2016 football team.

The best player I ever faced was: That's easy. Reese Sobol.

Worst dresser on my team: I wouldn’t say he dresses bad, but Luke Roth has a unique style to him. A lot of animal shirts to say the least.

Thing that’s been in my fridge the longest: I have some M&Ms in there I should probably eat soon.

Person I’m dying to have dinner with: Harambe…

Pepsi or Coke? No Coke. Pepsi.

Favorite TV show: “House”

Favorite musical group: U2 or Red Hot Chili Peppers

Favorite movie: “Stepbrothers ‘

If a movie were made of my life, I would like the following person to play me: Miles Teller

If my life were on TV as a reality show, I’d call it: “The Other Property Brother: What He’s Doing Now”

The person in history I would most like to meet is: Leonardo da Vinci

My dream job would be: PGA Tour Golfer

Place I’d most like to live: Australia

If you come back in another life, what would you like to return as: A dog, they live the life.

Two things that are tops on my “bucket list”: Go to/ get through Law School. See a baseball game in every major league stadium.

My possession that would fetch the most on eBay: Surprisingly the books I buy for class aren’t worth nearly as much as I bought them for when trying to sell them on eBay. So I’d probably have to go with my autographed Stan Musial harmonica.

Who is the luckiest person in the world? Whoever won that 1.6 billion dollar Powerball back in January.

What I miss most about being in the third grade: Not having a care in the world.
