Illinois Wesleyan senior Michelle Schoch (pronounced "shh-oak") has earned three letters and enters this season with an average of 88.2 in 63 career rounds.
She finished tied for 10th at the 2012 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin championships, earning all-conference honors and has a career low round of 81 (twice in 2012-13). She shot an 82 in her very first collegiate round at the Illinois College tournament as a freshman.
Michelle played with Elizabeth Hassett in the 2013 WGCA Pure Silk Women's Collegiate Team Championship and teamed with Amy Seter in the 2012 Pure Silk Women's Collegiate Team Championship.
Majoring in business (marketing) at Illinois Wesleyan, Michelle is the daughter of Donald and Mary Schoch.


Why you chose Illinois Wesleyan: I got a mint chocolate chip milkshake from Hattie's on my recruit visit… it was pretty tasty so I came here.
 
IWU class you’re most qualified to teach: Probably Beginning Golf- I teach a 4-year-old to golf.. I don’t think college kids wouldn’t be that different
 
The hardest challenge about being a Division III student-athlete is: People who don’t think golf is a sport
 
Worst grade in a class you ever got – what and when? C+, Calc freshman year
 
I’m deathly afraid of ... : Somersaults
 
Worst habit: not texting people back
 
Most expensive traffic ticket: Got caught speeding in a construction zone on my way to IWU last fall and the one going home for Thanksgiving… That was costly
 
Language I’d like to learn: I speak German pretty decently but I would like to use it more.
 
The longest I could survive without my cell phone: Couple weeks
 
One word your mother or father would use to describe you: outgoing
 
Favorite sports figures: Rory McIlroy and Annika Sorenstam
 
My greatest moment in sports was: Winning conference for the 11th time in a row (by 80 strokes) and all six girls finishing all-conference
 
The best player I ever faced was: The Washington U. team
 
Worst dresser on my team: We are the best dressed team in all D-III.
 
Thing that’s been in my fridge the longest: Eggo waffles in my freezer
 
Person I’m dying to have dinner with: Arnold Palmer or Jason Segal
 
Favorite food: Anything Chinese
 
Vegetable I won’t eat: I like all veggies
 
Pepsi or Coke? Do people still drink Pepsi?
 
Favorite TV show: "Chicago Fire"
 
Favorite musical group: Ben Folds
 
Favorite movies: "Dead Poets Society" or "Forgetting Sarah Marshall"
 
If a movie were made of my life, I would like the following person to play me: Jennifer Lawrence
 
If my life were on TV as a reality show, I’d call it: "Skooch’s Struggles: How to get injured on a golf course."
 
The person in history I would most like to meet is: I think Anne Frank would be really inspiring.
 
My dream job would be: Working for the PGA Tour
 
Place I’d most like to live: South Carolina: Kiawah Island
 
Two things that are tops on my “bucket list”: 1: Live in another country 2. Play Augusta National
 
My possession that would fetch the most on eBay: Golf clubs… not a chance that I would sell them though
 
Who is the luckiest person in the world? Kathy Niepagen- she wins everything!
 
What I miss most about being in the third grade: My third grade teacher was just like Mrs. Trunchbull from Matilda… soo I don’t miss a lot.
