BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Several new personal-bests were recorded by the Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's track and field teams at the Bob Keck D-III Select Invitational, Saturday, Feb. 8.

The women's team finished second with 80 points trailing only WashU's total of 120.33. Dubuque finished third with 72, followed by Rhodes (53), Millikin (36), Monmouth (29), Augustana (27.66), and Rose-Hulman (11).

The IWU men had 27 points as the winning team was WashU with 105, followed by Millikin with 70, Monmouth with 62, Dubuque with 54, Rose-Hulman at 44, and Augustana with 41.

Junior Katie North (Aurora, Ill.-Metea Valley HS) was the sole event winner for the Titans in the 5000 meter run, finishing with a personal-best time of 18:48.19. IWU also swept the top three in the same event with sophomores Lexie Dorsey (Mahomet, Ill.-Mahomet-Seymour HS) and Kayleigh Pitterman (Glenview, Ill.-Glenbrook South HS) clocking in at 18:50.02 and 19:13.62, respectively.

Freshman Addison Bendery (Chicago, Ill.-Loyola Academy HS) claimed a pair of top-three finishes with personal-best times in the 60 meter dash (7.92) and 200 meter dash (26.57).

Other top finishers on the track included junior Kelsey Wyman (Monmouth, Ill.-Monmouth-Roseville HS) placing second in the 800 meter run with a personal-best time of 2:20.30 and senior David Horn (Champaign, Ill.-St. Thomas More HS) finished third in the 400 meter dash with a time of 51.33.

In the field events, junior Ayana Blair (Wheeling, Ill.-Wheeling HS) finished second in the shot put with a distance of 13.50m and third in the weight throw with a distance of 15.35m. Junior Nia Lee (Romeoville, Ill.-Romeoville HS) had a personal-best distance of 5.42m to finish runner-up in the long jump.

The Titans return to action next Saturday, Feb. 15 as they travel to Monmouth College to compete in the Fighting Scot Invitational. Events are scheduled to get underway at 11 a.m.
