BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's track and field teams opened the 2019-20 season in the annual  Alumni/Titan Opener at the Shirk Center, Saturday, Dec. 7.

Three Titans claimed first-place finishes, with senior Colin Orchard (Lindenhurst, Ill.-Lakes Community HS), and juniors Ayana Blair (Wheeling, Ill.-Wheeling HS) and Cora Wilkinson (Verona, Ill.-Seneca Township HS) to lead the way for IWU.

IWU swept the shot put event, with Orchard being the sole male winner for Illinois Wesleyan with a distance of 14.35 meters while Blair claimed the women's title with her winning throw at 13.38 meters. Wilkinson took the women's long jump title with a distance of 5.48 meters.

No team scores were recorded. Illinois Wesleyan will host the IWU Intrasquad meet, Saturday, Jan. 18.
