NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Illinois Wesleyan junior
Amelia Glueck was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin women's indoor "Track Athlete of the Week" on Tuesday, Jan. 24.
Glueck (Pekin, Ill., Tremont HS) achieved a lifetime best with a second place time of 7.87 seconds in the 60-meter dash at Illinois Wesleyan's I-55 Triangular on Saturday, Jan. 21. Her time is currently ranked first in the CCIW and eighth on the NCAA Division III national list. She also won the long jump (18 feet-7 inches) and was on the second place 4x400-meter relay quarter (3:58.02).
It is the third time in her career she has won a conference weekly track award but the first time she has won as a track athlete. She was CCIW indoor "Field Athlete of the Week" once in both 2015 and 2016.
A health promotion and wellness management major at Illinois Wesleyan, Amelia is the daughter of Dale and Susan Glueck.
Carthage senior Morgan Young was named the CCIW "Field Athlete of the Week" on Tuesday. Young won the shot put (44-7 ½) and was second in the weight throw (personal record mark of 56-2) at North Central's Cardinal Opener on Friday. She is currently ranked fifth nationally in the shot put and eighth nationally in the weight throw.

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services nine member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carroll University (Waukesha, WI), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). During the 2015-16 academic year, the CCIW honored over 1,600 academic all-conference recipients, 14 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 36 CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients and over 100 all-Americans.
