AZUSA, Calif. - A personal-best effort landed junior Mackenzie Huber (Lombard, Ill.-Glenbard East) of the Illinois Wesleyan University women's track & field team a 25th-place finish in the 800m race at the Bryan Clay Invitational Friday, April 17. Huber bested multiple Division I and II runners in the field, and was the top finisher from Division III.

Huber crossed the finish line at 2:10.49, shaving three seconds off her best time outdoors, and nearly 0.3 seconds off her personal-best, set at the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field National Championship. The junior slides into second all-time in IWU's 800m outdoor history, only trailing Tara Clemens' record of 2:06.60, set in 2013. It also pushes her inside the top-10 in Division III this season, putting her well within the current national championship cut.

Illinois Wesleyan did not compete at the Augustana Meet of Champions today due to inclement weather, but returns to action tomorrow, April 18. Additionally, senior Evan Lowder (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal Community) will conclude the Titans' representation at the Bryan Clay Invitational. Lowder is set to compete in the 400m with an estimated start time of 10:50 a.m. PT for the event. All links to both events can be found on the track and field schedule page of iwusports.com.
