Crabtree Resets Program Record on Day One of NCAA Championships

Advances to tomorrow’s final

LA CROSSE, Wis. - Illinois Wesleyan University women's track and field senior Adriana Crabtree (Normal, Ill.-University High) ran her way into the 3000m steeplechase finals at the NCAA Division III Track and Field National Championships Thursday, May 21 in La Crosse, Wis. 

Crabtree reset her previous program record to take second overall and earn a spot in the finals held tomorrow. The senior ran a time of 10:24.06, which is less than a second off of the all-time College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin record (Hannah Roeske 10:23.26, 2018). 

Central College's Peyton Steffen took the preliminary in a time of 10:23.53.

The 3000m steeplechase final is set for 6 p.m. Friday, May 22.
