Crabtree Claims CCIW Runner of the Week Award

Fourth of her career, first during outdoor season

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Senior Adriana Crabtree (Normal, Ill.-University High) of the Illinois Wesleyan University women's track and field team earned her fourth career College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Runner of the Week award, announced by the organization Wednesday, April 22. 

The honor marks Crabtree's first of the season and the fourth of her track career. It is also the first time Crabtree has won the weekly award in her career during the outdoor season. 

Crabtree finished 40th out of 114 athletes in the open 3000m steeplechase at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif. Thursday, April 16. Running alongside Division I, II, and III and national team competitors, Crabtree posted a season-best time of 10:33.93. The senior was just half a second behind her own program record time of 10:33.55 set at the 2025 NCAA Division III National Championship. Her time currently sits fourth in Division III this season as three of the top-five times in the country were posted at the Bryan Clay Invitational.

A three-meet weekend is upcoming for the IWU track & field programs as Thursday-Saturday, April 23-25 several Titans will compete at the Drake Relays. Thursday will also include a meet at Monmouth College, and on Friday the Titans will travel to Millikin for the Friday Night Invite.
