Women’s Golf Heads West to Start Spring Season

Titans ranked No. 22 in latest WGCA rankings

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The No. 22 Illinois Wesleyan University women's golf team kicks off its 2026 spring campaign in Peoria, Ariz. this weekend, Saturday-Sunday, March 7-8, for the Westbrook Invitational, hosted by George Fox University. Tee times at the par-71, 5810-yard Westbrook Village Golf Course get started at 12 p.m. on Saturday. 

The Titans are one of nine teams, and one of four ranked teams, in the field along with No. 15 Redlands, No. 16 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, No. 19 Trinity (Texas), Arizona Christian, Centre, George Fox, UC Santa Cruz, and Whitworth. 

IWU will begin the spring season with the same roster that won the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Championship in the fall. Juniors Emily Gastrau (Wauwatosa, Wis.-Wauwatosa East) and Nora Cerroni (Waukesha, Wis.-Waukesha North), sophomores Grace Fagan (Kirkwood, Mo.-Visitation Academy) and Gigi Zera (Glenview, Ill.-Loyola Academy), along with freshman Julia Henry (Homewood, Ill.-Homewood-Flossmoor) will make up the Titans squad. Senior Brooke Erhard (Champaign, Ill.-St. Thomas More) will compete as an individual. 

Gastrau will be first off the tee on Saturday, March 7 at 12 p.m. Live results will be provided through Clippd and can be found here.
