SANDESTIN, Fla. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's golf team posted its lowest score of the tournament in the final round of the Golfweek October Classic Tuesday, Oct. 14 at the 5601-yard, par-72 Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Sandestin, Fla. The Titans climbed to 11th-place following their final round 15-over, 303, in their final tournament of the fall campaign.

Junior Nora Cerroni (Waukesha, Wis.-Waukesha North) finished in 13th-place, carding a 54-hole score of 224. She matched her round two total of three-over, 75. Junior Emily Gastrau (Wauwatosa, Wis.-Wauwatosa East) turned in Illinois Wesleyan's best round of the day at two-over, 74. Gastrau finished tied for 27th with a three-day total of 230. 

Williams College posted an impressive final round of 10-under 278 to run away with the team title, defeating runner-up Randolph-Macon by 21 strokes. Hamilton finished in third-place at 897, Grinnell was fourth at 898. UW-Stout wrapped up the top-five at 921.

IWU's top-15 finish at the Golfweek October Classic concludes the fall season for the Titans. The spring portion of the Illinois Wesleyan women's golf schedule will be released on the women's golf schedule page of iwusports.com and is slated to kickoff in March.
