BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - With the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Championships around the corner, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's track and field teams return home for the final regular season meet of the indoor campaign, the Friday Night Tri Friday, Feb. 20. Field events inside the Shirk Center are scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. start, with running events to follow at 5 p.m.

The Titan women's squad checked in at No. 22 in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association National Track and Field Rating Index, released Tuesday, Feb. 17. In the loaded Midwest Regional rankings, IWU came in at No. 9, with Elmhurst University and North Central College the only other two CCIW schools in the top-10, coming in at No. 4 and No. 10, respectively, in the regional list.

Illinois Wesleyan looks to capitalize on a week that saw two Titans earn CCIW Track Athlete of the Week honors. Junior Mackenzie Huber (Lombard, Ill.-Glenbard East) garnered her first career weekly league honor by way of a personal-best indoor 800m time and victory at the Grand Valley State University Big Meet Friday, Feb. 13. Huber ran to the third-fastest time in program history and sits at the top of the CCIW rankings in the event.

Senior Evan Lowder (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal Community) earned his second CCIW Track Athlete of the Week award of the season after an all-time conference record in the indoor 400m. Lowder's time of 47.56 was good for second at the GVSU Big Meet Friday, Feb. 13 in the 400m invitational division.

Senior Adriana Crabtree (Normal, Ill.-University High) has posted two marks this season, in the mile and 3000m, that lead the league. Her time of 4:54.60 in the mile Jan. 30 was good for a program record, while her 3000m mark of 9:37.71 Feb. 7 set both a program and a CCIW all-time record.

Junior Imani Ogunribido (Hanover Park, Ill.-Lake Park) posted the league's best mark, both this season and all-time, in the triple jump Dec. 5, leaping 12.53m. The mark continues to lead Division III by a foot and a half.

In relays, the women's 4x400m squad has posted the best time in the CCIW this season, running 3:55.39 Feb. 7 at the Keck DIII Select. Huber, senior Bella Gonzalez (Itasca, Ill.-Lake Park), and freshmen Corrina Fassino (Peoria, Ill.-Peoria Notre Dame) and Mallory Short (Lincoln, Ill.-Lincoln) lead the league as well as rank No. 39 in Division III, just three seconds off of the current national qualifying standard.

Field events are scheduled to begin at 4:30, with running events to follow. A link to live results can be found here, while a live stream can be found here.
