Huber Tabbed CCIW Track Athlete of the Week

First weekly honor of her career

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Junior Mackenzie Huber (Lombard, Ill.-Glenbard East) of the Illinois Wesleyan University women's track and field team was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Track Athlete of the Week Wednesday, Feb. 18, as announced by the league office. It is the first weekly league honor of Huber's career.

After winning the 800m open division at the Grand Valley State University Big Meet Friday, Feb. 13, Huber staked her spot in the current Division III ranks. Huber currently sits at No. 11 in the nation finishing the race with a time of 2:12.37. Her converted flat track time of 2:13.90 puts her third on the program's indoor all-time top-10 list and the fastest indoor 800m time by a Titan since 2013.

Huber and the Titans return home to host the Friday Night Tri meet Friday, Feb. 20. Field events are slated to begin at 4:30 p.m. with running to follow at 5 p.m. inside the Shirk Center.
