Women’s Golf Set to Host IWU Fall Classic

Tournament to be played at Ironwood Golf Course

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The 15th-ranked Illinois Wesleyan University women's golf team will have home course advantage this weekend, Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 13-14, as it hosts the IWU Fall Classic at the par-72, 5,823-yard Ironwood Golf Course in Normal, Ill. Tee off for both days will be a shotgun start at 9 a.m.

IWU will be one of 17 teams in the field, along with No. 23 Rhodes, North Central, Saint Mary's, Augustana, Wartburg, Trine, Millikin, Dubuque, Olivet, Albion, UW-Whitewater, Aurora, Central, Carthage, Rose-Hulman, UW-Oshkosh, and DePauw. 

The tournament will be a six-count-four format, as senior Brooke Erhard (Champaign, Ill.-St. Thomas More), juniors Nora Cerroni (Waukesha, Wis.-Waukesha North) and Emily Gastrau (Wauwatosa, Wis.-Wauwatosa), sophomores Grace Fagan (Kirkwood, Mo.-Visitation Academy) and Gigi Zera (Glenview, Ill.-Loyola Academy), and freshman Julia Henry (Homewood, Ill.-Homewood-Flossmoor) will make up the Titans 'A' team. Making up IWU's 'B' lineup will be junior Sarah Sim (Hoffman Estates, Ill.-Fremd), sophomores Caroline Carr (Frankfort, Ill.-Lincoln-Way East) and Breanna Brown (South Barrington, Ill.-Barrington), and freshmen Ashley Wells (Champaign, Ill.-St. Thomas More) and Addison Krouse (Effingham, Ill.-St. Anthony). 

Round one will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13. Live scoring will be provided through Clippd and can be found here.
