Fiandaca Selected to IWLCA Senior All-Star Game

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. - Adding to her lengthy resume, Illinois Wesleyan University women's lacrosse senior Mia Fiandaca (St. Charles, Ill.-St. Charles North) was selected to participate in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association All-Star Game, announced by the organization Wednesday, May 28. 

The All-Star Game will take place Saturday, May 31, at Tierney Field in front of the IWLCA building at USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks Glencoe, Md. The Division III game will be the second of three contests that day, set to occur at 12:30 p.m. The Division II game will kick off the day at 10 a.m., and the Division I game will be the last leg of the tripleheader, set to begin at 3 p.m.

Fiandaca's stellar career ended with her becoming the first All-American in program history, as she was named an honorable mention pick by USA Lacrosse Magazine. The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Defensive Player of the Year finished her career with the best goals per game average (2.68), the best caused turnovers per game average (2.32), and the most woman-down goals (4) in program history. Fiandaca also ranked second in draw controls (215) and caused turnovers (132), tied for second in woman-up goals (7), third in career goals (153), ground balls per game (2.42), and draw controls per game (3.77), sixth in ground balls (138), seventh in points per game (2.84), and tied for seventh in points (166) and free-position goals (15).

Fiandaca is the fourth-straight Titan to be named to the All-Star Game, as she joins Britney Maldonado (2024), Jennie Hubbard (2023), and Landry Elliott (2022). She is the lone student-athlete from the CCIW to be selected. A member of the White All-Stars team, Fiandaca will be coached by Neumann College's Jackie Neary.
