BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's track and field teams are set to host the first of six home meets at the Shirk Center indoor track Friday, Dec. 5 for the Titan First Chance Meet. Field events are scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. start, with running events to follow beginning at 4 p.m.

The 2025-26 season marks the start of the fourth year with Todd Lowder, Director of Track & Field, at the helm of the Titan men's program while women's track and field head coach Amelia Marino is set to start her third year.

The Green and White is coming off of a historic season, as IWU returns three of four NCAA All-Americans from last year's outdoor season, including an NCAA Division III National Champion. From a team perspective, the Titan men's squad totaled its highest ever score at the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Outdoor Championships, finishing runner-up in the indoor and outdoor championships. The women's team garnered 21 All-CCIW honors and four individual titles, good for fourth-place at the league outdoor championships.

On the national stage last season, junior Imani Ogunribido (Hanover Park, Ill.-Lake Park) backed up her 10th-place finish in the triple jump at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships with a school-record and national championship at the outdoor meet, becoming the 20th national champion in program history and first ever in triple jump. Senior Adriana Crabtree (Normal, Ill.-University High) enters the track and field season with several All-American honors to her name as well. Crabtree was a First Team NCAA All-American in the 3000m steeplechase a season ago, earning seventh. This fall, Crabtree also claimed First Team All-American honors after her 17th-place finish at the Division III Cross Country National Championships.

Senior Evan Lowder (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal Community), a 14-time All-CCIW honoree, returns for his final season with the Titans. Lowder set the school record in the 400m dash last season, as well as a CCIW meet record, earning back-to-back CCIW Outdoor Championship titles in the event. He has been named a U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-American in four consecutive championships, earning fifth at the national championship in the 400m a season ago.

Several other key pieces return on both sides including junior Reece Dusek (Peoria, Ill.-Dunlap), a 13-time All-CCIW performer, and senior Isaac Whitaker (Bloomington, Ill.-Central Catholic), who has finished in the top-four in the pole vault in all six of his CCIW Championship appearances. Junior Mackenzie Huber (Lombard, Ill.-Glenbard East) finds herself eighth in the 800m on the program's all-time top-10 list and is a three-time All-CCIW selection. Senior captain Jordynn Griffin (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal Community) also returns for the Titans, bringing with her 10 All-CCIW honors, including two league championships in the distance medley relay.

A full schedule of events can be found here. Live results will be available during the meet with final results being posted to the men's and women's track and field schedule pages on iwusports.com upon the conclusion of the meet.
