BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The first D3hoops.com Top-25 of the regular season was released Monday night, Nov. 24, and saw the Illinois Wesleyan University men's basketball team catapult the rankings. The Titans climbed to No. 6 with 499 points and one first-place vote after opening the year at 16th in the preseason poll.
The Green and White sits at 5-0 in 2025-26 with wins over three teams listed in the rankings or receiving votes. After beginning the season with a win over Illinois College, the Titans claimed the Sikma Hall of Fame Invitational with a 75-68 triumph over now No. 17 UW-Oshkosh. More recently, IWU posted a 72-69 win over now No. 8 Chicago, Nov. 19, before rolling past Wisconsin Lutheran and Kenyon.
Illinois Wesleyan is the lone College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin program in the top-25, as Carthage is the top team in the receiving votes category. Trinity (Conn.) and Randolph-Macon topped the poll as the No. 1 and No. 2 spots remained unchanged. Trinity tallied 23 first-place votes, while IWU and No. 4 Redlands also notched first-place nods. UW-La Crosse is slotted third with 560 points, while WashU rounds out the top-five.
The Titans are back in action Saturday, Nov. 29, inside the Shirk Center as University of Wisconsin-Stout treks to Bloomington. Tipoff is set for noon.
