Sifa Feruzi neutral stance at NCC Invite

Feruzi to Represent Women’s Wrestling at CCIW Championships

Opening bouts in Rock Island set for 2 p.m.

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Illinois Wesleyan University women's wrestling freshman Sifa Feruzi (Denver, Colo.-Macomb Senior) will represent the Titans at the program's first-ever College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Championship in Rock Island, Ill. Sunday, Jan. 26. Matches in Augustana College's Carver Center are set for a 2 p.m. start.

Feruzi, who has been a steady representative of IWU, has competed in all five meets this season while holding a 2-9 record in the 180 pound weight class. Most recently, Feruzi posted a 1-2 record at the Cliff Keen-Mike Duroe Invitational in Mount Vernon, Iowa, Jan. 18.

Sunday's championships will be the first the IWU women's team competes in since their program began a season ago. This year marks the third season with a CCIW Championships, and will feature Augustana, Aurora, Carthage, Elmhurst, Illinois Wesleyan, and North Central.
