Feruzi Competes at Quad Cities D3 Invite

EAST MOLINE, Ill. – Illinois Wesleyan University women's freshman wrestler Sifa Feruzi (Denver, Colo.-Macomb Senior) put together a 2-2 record at the Quad Cities D3 Invite in East Moline, Ill. Saturday, Feb. 8.

Feruzi was granted a bye in the first round of the 180-pound bracket before falling to Adrian's Mia Gaetjens by pin (2:27) in the second round. The freshman came back in her third match of the day with a pin over Alex Parks of Eureka (1:29) and followed it up with a 10-0 tech fall win over Argelis Hernandez Perez of Dubuque. Feruzi closed out the day with a 2-2 record after falling to Mackenzi Konanz of Aurora by pin (0:46).

Feruzi's two wins today boosted her season record to 5-13.
