BLOOMINGTON, Ill.- Sophomore Alivia Davey (Ripon, Wis.-Berlin) heads to Coralville, Iowa for the inaugural NC Women's Wrestling Championships, Friday-Saturday, March 6-7. Opening round action is scheduled for 10 a.m.

Davey earned her second straight national tournament appearance by winning three consecutive bouts at the Region IV tournament, Feb. 20-21, to become the first ever IWU wrestler to qualify for the national tournament. The 207-pounder will take on West Liberty's Jamie Shapton in the preliminary round, Friday, March 6. The eighth seed, Maria Aiono of Presbyterian College awaits the winner. Shapton went 3-1 in the Region II meet. She fell in the semifinals before winning two straight to secure a third-place finish.
