MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Despite significant weather delays on the final day of the NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's track and field teams came away with three All-American honors as sophomore Evan Lowder (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal Community) and freshman Imani Ogunribido (Hanover Park, Ill.-Lake Park) climbed the podium while junior Carlyssa King (Decatur, Ill.-Forsyth-Maroa) was a second team honoree.

King made her nationals debut in the first flight of the women's hammer throw. The junior's best mark of the day was a 49.88-meter (163'8") toss, good for 16th-place and Second Team All-American honors.

Lightning delays postponed the start of the women's triple jump, having intended to start at 3:45 p.m. the event finally kicked off at 8 p.m. Out of the second flight, Ogunribido hit a personal-best of 12.36m (40'6.75") to advance to finals. The mark ultimately stood as her best jump of the day to earn a sixth-place finish as she was the only freshman to climb the podium as a First Team All-American in the event.

After turning in the seventh-fastest time in yesterday's preliminary round, Lowder bettered his placing in the 400-meter finals, clocking a 47.25-second effort to place fourth and earn First Team All-American honors.

The women's team finished the meet in 68th-place with a total of three points. Behind Lowder, the IWU men's team finished tied for 42nd with five points.

Illinois Wesleyan concludes its 2024 season in Myrtle Beach and will look ahead to the 2025 season with all three national qualifiers slated to return.
