CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's track and field programs picked up four event wins and 16 top-three finishes at the Huntsman Family Invitational hosted by Wabash College Saturday, April 4.

Battling through plenty of precipitation, junior Mackenzie Huber (Lombard, Ill.-Glenbard East) and freshman Summer Clark (Bloomington, Ill.-Central Catholic) won individual events, while IWU also saw success in the relays. The Green and White topped the field in the men's 4x100m, crossing in a time of 42.80. Senior Joe Freedman (Libertyville, Ill.-Libertyville), sophomore Vincent Enoch (Hickory Hills, Ill.-St. Laurence), along with freshmen Cameron Rask (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal Community) and Amir Byrd (Bloomington, Ill.-Central Catholic) teamed up to win the sprint relay.

Juniors Carson Green (Centralia, Ill.-Centralia) and Noah Sadowski (Burr Ridge, Ill.-Hinsdale South), sophomore Alex Maas (Heyworth, Ill.-Heyworth), and freshman Dylan Hodges (Sycamore, Ill.-Sycamore) won the men's 4x400m relay with a time of 3:21.14.

Huber's victory came in the 400 meter race, where she crossed the line in 58.21 to finish more than six seconds ahead of the runner-up. Overall, Illinois Wesleyan placed four in the top-six in the event, including a sweep of the top-three spots.

Clark headlined the field events with a win in the women's high jump. The freshman cleared 1.51 meters to garner the first event victory of her career.

Elsewhere, Rask, seniors Brooke Nazos (Batavia, Ill.-Batavia), Zach Marquardt (Minneapolis, Minn.-Washburn), and Seth Hamerski (Mount Vernon, Ill.-Webber), sophomore Sarah Polley (Evanston, Ill.-Evanston Township), and freshman Mallory Short (Lincoln, Ill.-Lincoln) and Corrina Fassino (Peoria, Ill.-Peoria Notre Dame) registered runner-up finishes as IWU totaled 16 top-three performances on the day.

Next up for the Titans is a slew of competitions Thursday-Saturday, April 16-18. IWU will send groups to the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif., the Augustana Meet of Champions, and Indiana State University's Gibson Invitational.
