GREENVILLE, Ill. –
The Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's track and field teams took on the Greenville Select Saturday, April 13 where the Titans had five event wins and freshman Imani Ogunribido (Hanover Park, Ill.-Lake Park) boasted the second-best triple jump effort in Division III this season.

Ogunribido belted out a phenomenal 12.23 meter (40'1.50") personal-best mark to win the triple jump. Her mark jumped her from No. 18 to No. 2 in Division III this season and is the second-farthest jump by a Titan all-time. Junior Carlyssa King (Decatur, Ill.-Maroa-Forsyth) decimated her previous personal-best in the hammer throw with a toss of 50.08m (164'4") to finish second in the field and move into the No. 2 spot in IWU laurels. King's throw is good for fourth best in the CCIW this season and 27th nationally.

Taking home the win in the hammer throw was freshman Loreal Tucker (Herrin, Ill.-Herrin) who improved her personal-best mark to 38.84m (127'5"), moving her into the No. 8 spot in program history. Tucker also finished fourth in the discus with a toss of 35.33m (115'11").

Sophomore Evelyn Wilson (Geneseo, Ill.-Geneseo) picked up a one-centimeter personal-best in the women's high jump (1.58m, 5'2.25") to finish second in the 16-person field. Turning in fifth-place finishes were junior Caitlin McCane (Bloomington, Ill.-Tri-Valley) in the javelin throw with a 30.08m mark (98'8") and freshman Lauryn Moore (Bolingbrook, Ill.-Bolingbrook) in the shot put with a toss of 10.72m (25'2").

A pair of IWU freshman men swept the top two spots of the high jump as Adam Beasley (Bloomington, Ill.-Bloomington) won the event with a 1.95m (6'4.75") clearance and Matt Lindberg (Springfield, Ill.-Glenwood) was runner-up with a 1.90m (6'2.75") mark. Beasley also turned in a fourth-place finish in the long jump with a leap of 7.03m (23'0.75").

The men's 200-meter dash saw four Titans break into or move up in the program's top-10 as sophomore Evan Lowder (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal Community) led the way with a 21.37-second time that ranks third in program history and 12th in Division III this season. freshman Reece Dusek (Peoria, Ill.-Dunlap) clocked a 22.10-second effort to rank fifth all-time for IWU and finish sixth in the meet. Freshmen Noah Sadowski's (Burr Ridge, Ill.-Hinsdale South) 22.27 and Tyrice Bender's 22.36 times rank seventh and tenth in program history, respectively. Bender, Dusek, junior Alex Harvey (Galesburg, Ill.-Galesburg), and Lowder strung together an outstanding 4-by-400-meter performance, clocking a 3:13.47 to win the event. The time sits second for IWU all-time being .14 seconds shy of the top mark while tying for fourth-fastest in the country this season.

Junior CJ Ladewig (Palos Heights, Ill.-Stagg) earned a runner-up finish in the hammer throw with a toss of 50.31m (165'1") while sophomore Isaac Whitaker (Bloomington, Ill.-Central Catholic) posted a 4.70m (15'5") clearance in the pole vault to place third. Also turning in a third-place finish was junior Alex Harvey (Galesburg, Ill.-Galesburg) who clocked a 57.31-second effort in the 400-meter hurdles. In the shot put, junior Matthew Wagner (Normal, Ill.-Central Catholic) turned in an outdoor personal-best mark of 14.00m (45'11.25"), finishing fourth in the field of 30.

Turning in fifth place finishes on the men's side were Bender in the 100-meter dash in 11.25 seconds and Ethan Godsey (Manteno, Ill.-Manteno) in the triple jump (13.57m, 44'6.25").

Next up for the Titans will be the two-day Meet of Champions hosted by Augustana College, Friday and Saturday April 19-20 in Rock Island, Ill.
