BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – After taking the outdoor opening weekend out east, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's track and field teams are set for a three-meet weekend as groups divide and conquer the WashU Distance Carnival, the Big Blue Alumni Invite, and the Redbird Challenge Thursday, March 28 to Saturday, March 30.

Junior Annalese Chudy (Libertyville, Ill.-Libertyville) will kick off the weekend as the lone competitor representing the Green and White at the WashU Distance Carnival in St. Louis, Mo. Chudy is set to toe the line of the women's 10,000-meter run Thursday evening at 9:20 p.m. The junior will compete in section two of the event and will be one of 35 runners in Thursday's heat. Fifty-three additional runners will complete section one of the women's 10k race Friday evening.

The Redbird Challenge hosted by Division I neighbor Illinois State University is set to compete both the men's and women's hammer throw events on Friday before the meet's remaining events pick up on Saturday. Junior Carlyssa King (Decatur, Ill.-Maroa-Forsyth) will compete in the women's hammer on Friday followed by juniors Sam Hea (Quincy, Ill.-Quincy Notre Dame) and CJ Ladewig (Palos Heights, Ill.-Stagg) in the men's hammer throw. The Redbird Challenge will feature 16 teams, mostly Division I schools alongside Heartland Community College and College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin foe, Carroll University.

Another group of Titans will set off for Decatur, Ill. Friday afternoon for Millikin University's Big Blue Alumni Invite. The meet was previously scheduled for Saturday morning but will instead take place on Friday with field events set for a noon start and track events scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.

Live results will be available for each meet and can be found on the men's and women's track and field schedule pages of iwusports.com and on iwusports.com/coverage.
