WAVERLY, Iowa – The Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's track and field teams took advantage of a final opportunity for national qualifying marks at the Wartburg Qualifier Saturday, March 2, inside Hoover Fieldhouse in Waverly, Iowa.

Senior Lauren Wong (Morton, Ill.-Morton) opened the day in the women's triple jump. Wong's leap of 11.50-meters (37'8.50") was the field's top mark heading into finals where she would better her day's mark twice more. Sophomore Adriana Crabtree (Normal, Ill.-University High) clocked a four minute, 59.56 second personal-best effort to finish second in the field of 21. Her time currently ranks 31st in Division III before the banked-track conversion is applied.

In his final jump of the men's long jump, sophomore Jahari Scott (Lake Bluff, Ill.-Lake Park) turned in a 6.86m (22'6.25") mark to finish third in the field. Sophomore Isaac Whitaker (Bloomington, Ill.-Central Catholic) matched his career best of 4.71m (15'5.50") to finish 12th in the field of 17 vaulters.

The men's high jump squad turned in first, third, and seventh-place performances at Wartburg with freshman Adam Beasley (Bloomington, Ill.-Bloomington) leading the way with a 2.04m (6'8.25") clearance.
