Women’s Bowling Prepares for Warhawk Open

Titans will compete in a three day tournament

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's bowling team will travel up to Addison, Ill., to compete in the Warhawk Open this upcoming weekend Friday-Sunday, Dec. 6-8. This will be the third time the Titans have competed in the open and the third time they will see hosts, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. 

The Warhawk Open weekend kicks off on Friday, Dec. 6, with the Singles Sweeper tournament at Stardust Bowl in Addison, Ill. Saturday will see five traditional games played and Sunday will follow with 16 baker games. 

The Green and White's last competition was at the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Tournament #1 where Marian and Carroll took a share for first place while IWU placed seventh. Junior Kiera Henderson (Silvis, Ill.-United Township) placed 19th overall individually bowling a 483 over three games. 

The Titans last competed in the Warhawk Open in the 2022-23 season, where IWU placed 22nd out of 24 teams with an overall total of 6292, while Mount Mercy took first overall with a total pinfall of 8659.

Results will be posted by the end of competition on Sunday.
