Wong Posts 11th-Place Finish as Track & Field Season Comes to a Close

Wong was seeded 17th in the event

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Illinois Wesleyan University track and field season came to a close Saturday, May 27, as junior Lauren Wong (Morton, Ill.-Morton) concluded an outstanding campaign at the NCAA Division III Track and Field Championship.

Wong, who was seeded 17th, competed in triple jump Saturday morning. The junior registered a leap of 11.89 meters, placing 11th in the event.

With Wong's performance, IWU's track and field season is now complete. The national meet marked the final showing for the Titans under the direction of veteran head coach Chris Schumacher.
